Qualified and Senior Finance division

Our knowledgeable consultants offer a full range of recruitment solutions for roles including Finance Manager, Financial Controller, Finance Director, Head of Finance and CFO’s. We assist businesses of all sizes from SME’s to Blue Chip organisations and PLC’s providing a first-class recruitment service.

Part qualified division

Specialising in ACCA, CIMA and other professional accountancy studiers, ranging from candidates just starting their professional qualifications through to Finalists.

Non-Qualified and Transactional division

Our attentive consultants provide Accountancy support staff such as Ledger Clerks, Credit Controllers and Payroll staff through to Part Qualified, Management and Financial Accountants.

Public Practice Division and Specialist Sectors Division

This dedication division has responsibility for recruitment in both Public Practice firms covering vacancies from Graduates to Partners as well as Tax & Treasury positions within Commerce to include Risk & Internal Audit and Public Sector Recruitment.

Interim and Temporary Division

We provide cost effective, quality non-permanent staffing solutions ranging from short to long term contracts (including maternity covers) across all finance disciplines, including: Accountancy Support, Qualified, Part qualified Tax and Audit. All candidates are carefully interviewed, qualification checked and (where applicable) referenced.

We offer several ways in which we can pay our candidates:

  • Limited Company Basis – Working through a Limited Company or a Limited Company umbrella. Candidates are therefore responsible for their own PAYE and will invoice Howett Thorpe at an agreed rate on a weekly basis.
  • PAYE – Howett Thorpe is responsible for PAYE and will pay candidates at an agreed rate on a weekly basis on receipt of an authorised timesheet.
  • Contract – Clients will employ candidates on a contractual basis for a certain period and pay them directly.
