Howett Thorpe’s HR Solutions provides recruitment services to all levels of Human Resource professionals & the related Centers of Excellence. This is complemented by our Change Solutions offering, supplying Change Management expertise across all transformational projects. Our core areas of expertise are as follows:

HR and Change Solutions recruit on a permanent, temporary or fixed term contract basis.

On the temporary/contract side we provide cost effective, quality non-permanent staffing solutions ranging from short to long term contracts (including maternity covers) across all disciplines and offer several ways in which we can pay our candidates:

  • Limited Company Basis – Working through a Limited Company or a Limited Company umbrella. Candidates are therefore responsible for their own PAYE and will invoice Howett Thorpe at an agreed rate on a weekly basis.
  • PAYE – HR and Talent Solutions is responsible for PAYE and will pay candidates at an agreed rate on a weekly basis on receipt of an authorised timesheet
  • Contract – Clients will employ candidates on a contractual basis for a certain period and pay them directly.

Model

  • Our delivery centres around two core models. A contingent model caters for the junior to mid-level profiles which transitions into a retained model as the seniority increases. Our contingent search suits salaries up to £60K, either permanent or fixed term contract.
  • For senior permanent hires, our retained search model utilises techniques aligned to executive search. We have a few tricks to ensure success and we currently have a 100% track record of delivery.
  • In addition, we offer a comprehensive Interim service for project driven change & transformation programmes on any scale, as well as interim cover while lengthier permanent processes are concluded and provision for shorter term assignments requiring immediate cover.

I worked with Ed recently on the recruitment of an HR Director for Colas Ltd in West Sussex. I had a face-to-face meeting with Ed to outline our requirements and their priority was clearly to gain an in-depth understanding of the job and person requirements, the culture of the company and the relevant industry. We agreed a resourcing plan, which included advertising and the production of a detailed questionnaire and Ed conducted thorough initial screening and first interviews. Ed is true to his word, when he promises something, he delivers, but he’s not just going through the motions, he is passionate about what he does and this comes through in the quality of the service that he provides. I first met Ed in March this year, after applying for an HRBP role, within a Finance Services business.  The role had actually been advertised with several other agencies – some of which I was in weekly contact with, but none of them talked to me about this job.
