About The Role

The Assistant Management Accountant will work in a small Finance team of three and report directly to the Group Finance Manager. They will be responsible for compiling the Groups Management Accounts, providing the business with analysis and looking after the budgeting including its forecasting, variance analysis and reporting. You will also look after some of the day-to-day accounting functions as you would expect within an SME environment. This would include maintaining journals, cashflow, payroll and compliance matters. You will also work very closely with the Group Finance Manager is developing and improving the use of systems, processes and performance reporting.

You will be given autonomy in your role and encouraged to progress and take responsibility in order to allow the Finance Manager to concentrate on more strategic and commercial tasks.

About You

You will be an excellent communicator who is able to work with non-finance and finance functions alike. This is a fairly progressive opportunity and therefore we are seeking an individual who would like to develop within a business. Excellent systems skills are essential experience of cloud based accounting systems would is desirable.
