Salary: £75,000 - £80,000 per annum
This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to join a business who are doubling in size due to a merger and will continue to grow throughout 2017 and beyond through acquisitions and organic growth. You will interact with the senior business heads along with the Managing Director in integrating the two businesses and driving the overall business forward in its growth. This is a “hands on” position and you will lead a small finance team in; maintaining management accounts, running payroll, managing monthly fees and producing statutory accounts. You will also produce budgets and forecasts along with providing analysis to assist the company’s decision-making. This position will also oversee the IT function and will have a strong influence over the operational side of the business.
They are an SME who will double their turnover to circa £40M in the coming months. They have a relatively small head-office function with the majority of their staff based across their multiple sites. They offer a first class service with customer care extremely high on their agenda.
You will be a qualified finance professional (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) who is already working at Finance Director level or be at a stage in your career where you are ready to step up into that role. Previous experience of mergers and acquisitions is an absolute must. You will be able to demonstrate working with senior leaders in the growth of previous organisations. You will have managed, mentored and developed finance teams. You will need to be able to demonstrate that you can work as a hands-on finance professional as well as being able to offer a strategic vision.
You will have worked in a multi-site business and be able to interact and develop non-finance staff. Ideally you will have had experience of IT systems integration or upgrades.
