About The Role

Due to the continued growth of the business this opportunity as the Finance Director Designate has arisen to provide key support to the Managing Director as well as taking a hands on approach to all aspects of the finance function.

Initially your role will be focused on the transformation of the finance function, ensuring adequate processes and procedures are in place, managing a small finance team to get the most out of them and providing the financial support to the MD.

This role has a wide variety involved with it, your position will cover:

  • Provide strategic support to the Managing Director to drive the business forward
  • Produce the Statutory Accounts including Month End and Year End accounts
  • VAT returns
  • Controlling the cashflow, providing analysis
  • Quarterly reporting of the company performance from a financial stand point
  • Process Complex accounts with multiple companies within the group
  • Produce the PAYE accounts

As time progresses within the role, your position will evolve into providing an overview of the accounts and detailed reports for investors and being involved with steering the business forward, setting strategy and looking at further investment opportunities.

About You

We are looking for an individual that is technically strong, is hands on with all aspects of the accounts function and has the ability to provide support for the business strategy.

We are looking for the following skills and experiences:

  • Ideally ACA qualified but are open to looking at ACCA or CIMA qualified
  • Experience of managing a small team
  • Process improvement experience
  • Small company background
  • Production of Statutory Accounts
  • Provision of strategic support
