About The Role

The role as Finance Manager will provide a critical role in the supervision and leadership of the Transactional Finance team, ensuring regular reporting is timely and accurate whilst providing a robust financial control environment.

As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring a quality control of all financial transactions and the financial reporting process, developing finance processes to manage the transaction process and take a lead on the cash management for the business.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Controlling the Financial Statements – ensuring all debtor and creditor processes meet monthly and annual deadlines
  • Provide a Balance Sheet control, ensuring accurate reconciliations of all cash accounts and ensuring intercompany accounts are reconciled
  • To be responsible for the accounts payable function of the organisation, ensuring invoices are processed in a timely manner
  • Oversee the accounts receivable function, ensuring all debtors are chased in a timely manner
  • Manage the cash book, providing detailed cash flow information

This role is working for a local business in the Redhill area, they are well established and have the opportunity for individuals that join the business and have career progression within the finance function.

About You

We are looking for a Finance Manager that has experience of managing a team that are all working within the Transactional side of finance, you will have the ability to be hands on in aspects of your role while being able to delegate responsibilities to the team.

You will have the following skills, experiences and qualifications to apply:

  • Ideally you will hold a full accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) but we are open to Part Qualified or QBE accountants
  • Experience of producing Financial Accounts and Statutory Accounts
  • Experience of Managing a transactional team
  • Exposure to a Housing based business would be desirable but not essential
