About The Role

Within this Financial Controller position, you will be key in providing support to both the Finance Director and the Managing Director as well as establishing an efficient and effective financial control service for all of the business units. Your daily duties will have variety, ranging from the preparation of the company accounts to providing strategic analysis and insight to the running of the business; identifying money saving opportunities and increasing profitability. As the Financial Controller, your duties will include:

  • Monitoring and Analysing financial performance, including forecasts of operational areas of the business
  • Provide clear strategic financial analysis to the Finance Director and Managing Director of the business
  • Oversee the preparation of management accounts and financial statements
  • Manage the month end process including balance sheet reconciliations and accruals
  • Plus assist with a number of additional duties and projects

About Our Client

This role is working for an Internationally trading SME business based in Crawley, the company provide services to a client base across the EMEA region and also further adrift. They are a growing business that currently has a turnover in the region of £20M and are looking to expand and grow as their services are reaching out to more and more specialist businesses.

About You

To apply for this role, we are looking for a commercially astute individual that is looking for a progressive position in which their career can move to the next level, your experience must be gained from within an SME environment and also have International exposure, not just Europe but a wider trading range. To summarise, we are looking for the following skills and experiences for this position:

  • Experience of working within an SME environment that has International exposure, including accounting and reporting on an international basis
  • Ideally you will have some sort of Accountancy Qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, AAT or Equivalent) but we will also consider applicants that are Qualified by Experience (QBE)
  • Looking for the next step in your career to progress and develop further
  • Strong commercial knowledge with a proactive attitude to not only understand the business but also provide valuable insight to grow the business further
