About The Role

As the VP Finance – Europe, you will be responsible for the entire financial service and support for all of the European based hotels, including the UK shared service centre.

Within this role you will be involved with the Hotel Operational Finance and also European Accounting and Consolidations.  Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Support the decision making process at a corporate level through the provision of detailed financial analysis and recommendations
  • Bench marking to drive improved efficiency, using KPI’s
  • Work with Operational Managers to enhance trading profitability
  • Take responsibility for the regions budgets, forecasts and controls
  • Be responsible for the preparation of financial feasibility for capital spending
  • Responsible for the European consolidation and the regional reporting including statutory accounts
  • Plus additional responsibilities

This position is working for a market leading business, they have forged a niche in the market place that has given rise to their position.  They are an international group of Hotels operating across the globe.

About You

Within this role we are looking for an individual that has Operational Finance experience from within the Hotel industry.  You MUST have Hotel experience to apply for this role.

We are looking for the following skills, experiences and traits:

  • Hold a full accountancy qualification (ACA, CPA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Experience in Hotel Operational Finance is essential
  • Current knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
  • Experience of dealing with multiple sites
  • You will be able to guide and provide support/ training to hotel Financial Controllers and other operational staff
  • Be a natural team leader

Things you should know

This is a 3 month temporary to permanent role, you will be given a full handover and then be handed the reigns.
