Part Time Accounts Assistant – About The Role
In this role, you will be working within a finance team of 4 and will be reporting into the Finance Manager. You will be assisting with the daily running of the finance function as well as supporting other departments across the business. Your key responsibilities will be:
- Coding and sorting purchase invoices, posting bank payments and liaising with suppliers regarding payment dates.
- Updating all fixed asset registers and complete depreciation journals quarterly.
- Prepare rental calculations and pay all rental invoices.
- Raise purchase orders for all companies.
- Complete quarterly VAT returns using the Sage MTD software for both VAT groups, when needed.
- Maintain and update records of the company’s offsite filing.
- Building relationships with new/existing suppliers.
The successful Part Time Accounts Assistant will have:
- Previous experience in a similar position.
- Strong accounting exposure
- Experience with Sage would be preferable
- Good attention to detail
