I am recruiting for a pro-active Audit Trainee who is passionate about making a difference. This would be the perfect role for an A-level leaver with basic accounting knowledge / experience. The successful candidate will have a varied role and be provided with full training leading to a professional qualification (AAT)
AAT Audit Trainee – About the Role
This position offers an excellent opportunity to obtain audit and accounts experience across a variety of sectors
- Assist with the completion of assigned audit engagements within the office and at client premises. Depending on assigned engagement, you will report to either the Audit Senior or Manager.
- Manage your own daily activities assigned to assist the Audit Senior during an engagement.
- Communicate identified issues with Audit Senior or Manager to ensure any concerns are addressed in a timely and effective manner.
- Conduct assigned audit engagements as specified within the annual audit plan
- Identify and communicate issues raised, offering recommended solutions relevant to business and risk
- Conduct audit programs and testing procedures relevant to risk and test objectives
- Obtain and review evidence ensuring audit conclusions are well documented
The successful AAT Audit Trainee will have
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently; pro-active in asking clarifying questions to ensure work effort is directed
- Ability to manage time and work to budgets and deadlines
- Ability to prepare clear and concise working papers
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to identify sensitive issues and facilitate communications in a pro-active manner to avoid surprises
- Ability and willingness to travel
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude
- Essential Qualifications: A-Levels – With A to C results in at least 3 A Levels
- Maths GCSE – A-C pass minimum
