Trends in Recruitment, Tips for Job Seekers and an Overview of Employment Legislation

Howett Thorpe hosted another successful event on the 4th February 2013, partnering again with the ACCA West Surrey and Southern Members’ Networks. The event was held at The Hilton Hotel, Cobham and attracted over 70 attendees, all looking to maximize their potential in today’s ever changing and demanding job market.

The meeting was open to all members and affiliates, especially those looking to move onward and upward and provided detailed support and advice on topics from managing your career in today’s technology fuelled environment, the rise of the counter offer and an important insight into new and developing employment legislation covering, Tribunals, Maternity, Paternity, Unpaid Parental Leave, Sick Pay, Pensions and Injury rates.

Feedback from everyone at the event was very positive, many commenting that it was an “informative insight” in to the current recruitment market and the challenges ahead that job hunters and employees face.
