2010 has already seen a change with a new set of challenges now emerging in stark contrast to last year.

Companies are seemingly recovering at a steady pace and the cost-cutting exercise that most businesses undertook during 2008 and 2009 are now diminishing with an emphasis now being placed on staff retention and recruitment.

Many people put their career search on hold last year and with a gentle recovery now underway many are taking the opportunity to review their careers and the progression that is on offer with employers. Our aim with the following information is to give guidance and advice on salary changes over the last year and also allow you the opportunity to view some applicants that are now on the market and seeking that all important new role.

When you find yourself in the position to recruit into your finance team, I honestly believe we are best placed to assist you in the recruitment of both Permanent and Interim/Contract staff. Whilst the economy has reportedly seen a gradual increase, our permanent division has seen 44% growth this quarter compared to last and the Interims Division has seen a 25% increase in growth.

We have recruited two more consultants to compliment our team; Nick Fuller (Interim / Temporary) brings in excess of 10 years financial recruitment experience and Laura Underhill (Accountancy Support) has over 6 years experience within the recruitment sector.

All our consultants are very experienced which gives you the confidence to do your job whilst we do ours.

I am still very involved in the business and we are all very motivated in being a real support to you, not just in recruitment but also on salary guidance and keeping you informed of current market trends.

You can meet the team via our website, by clicking on the “Contact Us” tab. Unlike so many other agencies, it is important that we instil confidence in you as the client, that we will deliver and always with an honest and open approach.

The summer is upon us and I honestly believe that if we take the responsibility now to ensure our teams are in place, we can all benefit and look forward to a strong 2011.
