Finance Assistant – About The Role

In this role you will be working alongside the Finance Manager and supporting with the day-to-day operations in finance. In addition, you will be communicating with other departments and your key responsibilities will be:

  • Process invoices, purchase orders and expense claims in line with company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and filing systems.
  • Assisting with month end and year end closing processes including reconciliations.
  • Support in the preparations of budgets, forecasts and financial reports.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and payable, following up on outstanding balances.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by preparing documentation and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Respond to queries from staff, suppliers and other stakeholders regarding financial transactions.

The successful Finance Assistant will have:

  • Previous experience in a finance/accounts position
  • Actively studying an accountancy qualification
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
  • Strong organisational skills
