Proud to be supporting our local community
Proud to be supporting our local community
For over 30 years, Howett Thorpe has supported some of the most important organisations in our community, and we will continue to do so.
Including youth teams for the under 5s through to senior teams. Men, women, boys and girls all benefit from the community spirit and can-do attitude of Farnham Rugby Club. The club is constantly expanding and in need of further grounds to accommodate the expanding membership and ensure the facilities as a whole remain state of the art. Howett Thorpe is committed to supporting Farnham R.U.F.C. up until at least 2023.
Crisis work directly with thousands of homeless people every year. The organisation provides vital help so that people can rebuild their lives and get out of the cycle of homelessness for good. Crisis offers one-to-one support, advice and courses for homeless people in 12 areas across England, Scotland and Wales.
Howett Thorpe continues to financially support Crisis year-on-year to help fund Christmas meals for the homeless.
Ruth Strauss provides emotional support for families to prepare for the death of a parent from cancer. Whilst doing so, the charity also raises awareness of the need for more research and collaboration in the fight against non-smoking lung cancers. At Howett Thorpe, we believe in the charity’s vision and amibitions, and we continue to support Ruth Strauss in achieving its goals.
Howett Thorpe supports the local community with food bank donations
Last year was a challenging one for local businesses, but also for many people on a personal level. 2020 taught us many things, one of which is to never take for granted the ability to be able to provide food for your loved ones and families. Last year, Greg decided to ensure that, as a business, Howett Thorpe is doing everything it can to support those less fortunate. As a result, we have started making regular contributions to our local food bank drop-off point.
This is something that Greg is very passionate about. Such a small sacrifice will undeniably make a huge difference to those families in need. If everyone in the Farnham business community did at least one food parcel a month, it would make a significant difference…
The following links will show you a typical food parcel to last a family three days and also items they are in urgent need of. We use the Nationwide in Farnham as a drop-off – they are very helpful, friendly and are doing a really good job.
