Part-qualified finance with experience of excelling in leading full finance functions within SME environments, operating at Financial Controller and Director level. They have a proven ability to implement process improvements, strengthen financial controls, and provide strategic insight through accurate reporting and analysis. A hands-on finance professional who takes ownership of end-to-end accounting while partnering with senior stakeholders to drive business performance and efficiency.

Exposure includes:

  • Full ownership of finance function from transactional level through to financial statements
    • Preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts and board-level reporting
    • Budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management
    • Process improvement and systems implementation to enhance efficiency and cashflow
    • VAT and CIS submissions and liaison with HMRC
    • Accounts payable, receivable, and reconciliations
    • Project accounting including profitability analysis and cost tracking
    • Fixed assets, depreciation, and finance lease exposure
    • Payroll management and employee-related financial processes
    • Risk management, compliance, and statutory reporting
    • Stakeholder management including auditors and board-level interaction
    • Experience within construction and insurance sectors

Software knowledge:

  • Xero (advanced user, including Projects)
    • Microsoft Excel

Qualifications:

  • Part-qualified ACCA
    • BCom (Hons) Accounting Science
    • Diploma of Higher Education in Tax Law
