An ACCA qualified Accountant who has spent the last 5 ½ years working for a small accountancy firm and is now looking to make the move into industry. Since graduating from university, they have progressed significantly during their time and is now working as a Senior Accountant and is managing a small team. They are a vital member of business and has gained vast amounts of experience in their current role. They are now looking to move into another varied position where they can take the next step in their career. A very bright, dynamic individual who comes across very well in person.
Exposure includes:
- Preparing statutory and management accounts, bookkeeping and preparation of VAT returns, and personal and corporate tax returns.
- Client experience spans a range of sectors: Manufacturing; Retail; Hospitality; Construction; and others in line with FRS 102.
- Preparation of consolidated management accounts for a group companies with up to five subsidiaries.
- Supervise a team of four, delegating work across the team of juniors and reporting directly to the Senior Leadership team.
- Provide training and coaching to junior members of the team to assist with their ongoing professional development.
- Acting as the main point of contact for the majority of clients, responding to and resolving queries in a timely manner.
- Previously responsible for completing the full bookkeeping service for the firm’s largest client, including dealing with the purchase and sales ledgers, bank reconciliation, and completing CIS and VAT returns. I still oversee and review this work with two juniors working below me on it.
Software knowledge: Xero, Sage50, Advanced excel skills
Qualifications: ACCA 2023- first time passes
