An ACA finalist with 2 exams left, due to be sat in June with just one resit to date. As a Senior Accountant at a top-20 firm they are responsible for the complex statutory accounts production while also reviewing the more basic accounts produced by juniors. Working on a diverse portfolio of clients which includes SMEs, groups and sole traders. They also prepare corporation, group and personal tax returns. As the key contact for clients they handle any queries and liaise with HMRC on the client’s behalf.
They have consistently been given extra responsibilities above their job title and they enjoy the challenge and learning new things. Part of their role includes onboarding new clients and migrating them to Xero, and along with this they train clients on how to use Xero. As a Silverfin superuser they are also responsible for ensuring colleagues are trained on how to effectively use it.
