I would like to start by saying that myself and the team here at Howett Thorpe hope that you, your family, friends and colleagues all remain safe and well through these unprecedented times.

The past few months have been challenging, to say the least — for us and many other companies and individuals. Like thousands of other businesses around the UK, we have had to put a number of our staff onto the furlough scheme. This is not a decision that was taken lightly but an option that we are grateful to have so that we can retain our talented and valued team.

At Howett Thorpe, we are proud to have remained open during these testing times, with key staff continuing to gauge the finance and accountancy recruitment market and set out suitable plans of action. To all of our team both at work and on furlough — thank you for your contribution to getting through the last couple of months, together.

Following government guidance on the re-opening of non-essential businesses, we are excited to get back to the office. As of this week, we will be staffing the offices again — bringing back consultants on a phased return until October.

A full risk assessment has been carried out for all of our offices, and strict social distancing and hygiene measures have been put in place to ensure the safety of our staff, clients and candidates.

We also understand the need for greater flexibility as businesses continue to adapt to the new ‘normal’. As such, we have decided to offer payment plans or extended rebate terms for our clients.

We very much look forward to working with you again soon. In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to get in touch — we are here to help.
